Brynhildr in the Darkness appears for pre-order on Amazon UK

Seemingly acquired by Animatsu Entertainment

With so many acqusitions to show off in recent times, it's been a dizzying task keeping up with Animatsu Entertainment's current slate of titles (although our list of London Comic Con announcements should help with that).

Nonetheless, eagle-eyed Twitter reader Peachy has clearly been keeping tabs on things better than us, for they have noted that the addition of a number of new pre-orders of titles to Amazon UK appears to have brought with it confirmation of another Animatsu Entertainment acquisition, to be distributed by Manga Entertainment.

That title is Brynhildr in the Darkness - the animated adaptation of one of the latest manga outings from Lynn Okamoto - a name you may recognise as the author of Elfen Lied.  This is science-fiction harem adaptation from Arms follows a high school boy, haunted by thoughts of a female childhood friend who he allowed to die in an accident, who ends up involved with a magic-wielding transfer student who happens to look just like that long-lost friend.

The title is slated for a DVD and Blu-ray release according to Amazon listings, with an expected release date of February 15th 2016.
