Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Cancelled

Written by Russell Phillips on 01 Mar 2019

In a suprise anouncement, Manga Entertainment released a statement on their website confirming the cancellation of their planned release of Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card, as well as the recall of all stock and promotional material relating to the series.

In the statment Managing Director Jerome Mazandarani stated that "Shortly after the product’s release, we were instructed to remove the product & all promotional material from our site & social media channels. We understand the confusion caused and would like to assure customers that we are working with Funimation and hope to have the title back available as soon as possible."

This comes after Austrailian distributor Madman Entertainmant had announced on twitter that they had also been forced to cancel their release (since then their official shop has relisted the series, with a June 6th release date).
