Code Geass: Akito the Exiled's UK release delayed indefinitely

Kazé title was due to arrive this month

Yesterday saw distributor Manga Entertainment post their latest "Ask Andrew" feature, where the company's Andrew Hewson provided updates on a number of topics as well as answering questions from fans.

One particularly important note was something that we've been trying to find an answer to of late, that being the status of Kazé's release of the first instalment of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed a recent date change from retailers which saw the scheduled release of Part 1 and 2 of this OVA series slip from March 21st to December 5th 2016. We suspected that this was simply a placeholder date, and that has now been confirmed, with Mr. Hewson reporting the following:

"Kazé's release of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled has been pushed back, the new date is currently TBC... As soon as we know more from Kazé on its status we will update everyone with the new date."

With the lines of communication to Kazé being what they are we don't expect to hear more any time soon, but as always we'll keep you appraised of any developments and update the UK Anime Network release calendar accordingly once we have a new date set for the release.
