Crunchyroll begins streaming of Wake Up, Girl ZOO!

Wake Up, Girls spin-off no available

Written by A. H. on 03 Dec 2014

At the start of this year, streaming service Crunchyroll offered fans of idol anime an opportunity to view both the Wake Up, Girls! TV series and its introductory movie, Seven Idols.

Following on from this, the service has now added spin-off series Wake Up, Girl ZOO! to the site, complete with UK availability. The first five episodes of this short comedy spin-off series are already available on the site, with additional episodes added every other Wednesday at 3:15AM.

If you want to know a little more about the show, here's the synopsis:

The 7-girls from Wake Up, Girls! are back in this all-new comedic short, Wake Up, Girl ZOO!, this time as their adorable mascot animal counterparts! Set at a small zoo in Sendai, the zoo is facing the threat of closedown since it only has 1 animal left on display. In order to keep the zoo going, the head zookeeper Tange orders her employee Matsuda to find some new animals for the zoo.

The voice actresses from Wake Up, Girls! all return to reprise their roles Wake Up, Girl ZOO!, starring: Mayu Yoshioka as Mayu, Airi Eino as Airi, Minami Tanaka as Minami, Yoshino Aoyama as Yoshino, Miyu Takagi as Miyu, Nanami Yamashita as Nanami, and Kaya Okuno as Kaya. Character designs are done by Seiya Miyajima, and Studio Ordet teams with Studio Moriken for production.

You can find the series so far available for your viewing pleasure from this Crunchyroll page.
