Crunchyroll stream Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club Season 1 with English dub

The North American licensing situation surrounding Kyoto Animation's Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club has arguably been one of the more confusing of recent times, with Crunchyroll ending up with both streaming and physical rights to its first season and streaming rights to season two, which FUNimation Entertainment have the home video rights for.

This led to a situation where the first season of the show was released as a subtitle-only DVD by Discotek Media, which pales in comparison to the dubbed and subtitled DVD and Blu-ray release of series two from FUNimation, much to the chagrin of fans.

However, this seems like an imbalance that is now being redressed, with news that Crunchyroll have now produced an English dub for the first season of Free, which reprises all of the same cast from Eternal Summer for the sake of consistency. With any luck this will lead into a full, dubbed Blu-ray release on home video for the US if nothing else.
