Another big winter season show comes our way
Written by A. H. on 10 Jan 2015
The new streaming additions keep on coming, and although the third series of Dog Days is limited to Asian territories we do have ourselves a couple more winter season simulcasts to enjoy here in the UK, starting with confirmation that the previously announced Durarara!! x2 will be reaching our shores starting today!
Anyhow, before we get ahead of ourselves here are the latest additions to the schedule:
Durarara!! x2 - Ryohgo Narita's light novel series returns to the small screen in anime form courtesy of Durarara!! x2. Takahiro Omori returns to direct this second season, which will itself be split into three cours, beginning in winter 2015 and then returning for summer 2015 and winter 2016. A new studio, Shuka, will be producing the show, although as it's made up of many of the staff who worked on the first series at Brain's Base the look and feel of the show will hopefully remain the same.
The series begins today, January 10th, with new episodes airing every Saturday at 5PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.
World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman - Another light novel adaptation now, and also another series from Diomedea for the winter in the form of Seiken Tsukai no World Break. This fantasy action series is set within the confines of a school for students who have awakened to the knowledge of memories from their past lives, which in turn gives them the powers that they need to fight against their enemies.
The series begins on Sunday, January 11th, with episodes airing each week at 6:05PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.
Don't forget that you can see the full schedule of confirmed UK simulcasts (and more besides) on the UK Anime Network release calendar.
