Dark Horse Manga announces Deluxe Masamune Shirow titles for 2026

After teasing the re-release of the long out-of-print Appleseed manga by Masumune Shirow in deluxe hardback format, Dark Horse Manga has excelled itself by formally announcing not only a return to Olympus, but a companion volume for the series and an Anthology volume of other Shirow works, including the popular futuristic eco-comedy Dominion Tank Police.

We'll have to wait until August 11th 2026 to read them though, so mark your calendars.

Appleseed and Dominion were first translated and published by Dark Horse in 1993 (April and May respectively) and became an early favourite amongst fans in the West. I still have the volume published by Manga Entertainment, but it's long overdue an upgrade, making these editions in 7" x 10" format very welcome news indeed.
