Details emerge on Ranma remake

Written by Ross Locksley on 17 Jul 2024

The confirmed remake of Ranma 1/2 has delighted the internet (and me in particular as it kickstarted my entire love of anime and manga) and we finally have more details.

The series will be broadcast in Japan every Saturday on Nippon Television from October 5th 2024, and will be available exclusively on Netflix immediately after.

Clearly the simulcast approach has worked well for Netflix, with Delicious in Dungeon being a big hit for the network. With millions of Ranma fans worldwide, it's almost guaranteed to be a smash for the streaming service.

The news was posted on Ranma-pr.com, so keep an eye on that site for further updates. Honestly we're all quite surprised with just how far along the project is given how close October is, but it's very exciting to know that we'll be getting the show this year. Figures and merchandise to follow please, I need some premium Ranma statues for the office!
