Coming in January 2017, Standard Edition to follow

Back in August we reported on distributor Eureka Entertainment and their plans to bring Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis back to the UK in Blu-ray edition form, and today the company has further elaborated upon their plans via Twitter.
It's now been revealed that the film will be released as a Limited Edition DVD/Blu-ray combo pack Steelbook, due to hit the UK on Monday, 16th January 2017. This Steelbook release (pictured above) will be limited to 2,000 units.
If the prospect of a Steelbook edition of the film does't appeal, a Standard Edition DVD/Blu-ray combo pack in standard Amaray packaging will follow on Monday, 13th March 2017.
This 2001 Madhouse film is a notable anime movie based loosely on a 1949 manga by Osamu Tezuka, which was in turn inspired by Fritz Lang's legendary film. The film boasts a script penned by Katsuhiro Otomo and direction from Rintaro.
