Testing the waters this November

Ever since the birth of the simulcast, we've grown used to seeing the latest anime arrive online in subtitle-only form, with only Space Dandy serving as a recent exception.
However, that might be about to change, for US viewers at least, with North American distributor FUNimation Entertainment's unveiling of a strategy they're calling Broadcast Dubs. The concept is simple enough - to simulcast new series with a full English dub alongside the existing subtitled simulcasts we've grown used to on their own subscription platform.
To test the waters this season, the company will be rolling out broadcast dubs for two of their autumn series, Psycho-Pass 2 and Laughing Under the Clouds, starting this November. Needless to say, neither of these series nor any part of FUNimation's subscription service are available to UK viewers, so we can only watch with curiosity from afar unless other streaming outlets are granted access to these materials.
You can read more, and find a video interview with FUNimation Entertainment's Justin Rojas, at the Nerdist web site.
Do you like the idea of watching your simulcasts with an English dub? Would you like to see this strategy reach the UK? Let us know in the comments!
