There's been no shortage of new manga announcements at Anime Expo, and of course Kodansha Comics USA had some news of their own to unveil at the show.
Aside from the inevitable confirmation of more Attack on Titan goodies, with a 344 page behind the scenes book coming in September, the publisher also had two brand-new titles to announce:
- Maria the Virgin Witch - Known in Japan as Junketsu no Maria - Sorcière de gré, pucelle de force, this new series from the creator of Moyashimon is set to receive an anime adaptation in the near future. The series itself follows a witch during the Hundred Years' War between England and France, where she aims to use magic to keep her village safe from harm in a story which blends history with comedy and plenty more besides.
The series, comprising of just three volumes, will see its first instalment released early in 2015.
- A Silent Voice - Otherwise known as Koe no Katachi, this romantic drama sees a girl with impaired hearing bullied at her new school, only for the source of that bullying to eventually realise the error of his ways and grow closer to her.
The first volume of the series is currently slated for release in spring 2015.
