Giovanni's Island and plenty more this November

Although our thoughts are currently filled with October's Scotland Loves Anime events, November brings with it more anime screenings in the form of the Leeds International Film Festival, and more specifically its traditional Fanomenon Anime Day.
This year's Anime Day takes place on Sunday, November 9th and runs from 11AM - exact times for each film are yet to be revealed, but the line-up for the event will be as follows:
- Appleseed Alpha
- Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods
- Ghost in the Shell
- Giovanni's Island
- Grave of the Fireflies
- Short Peace
It was originally expected that the event would also include a screening of The Wings of Honneamise, but this doesn't appear to be present on the line-up published on the LIFF web site in advance of the full film programme launch.
Also screening during the festival is Interstellar 5555 on Saturday 15th November as part of the Thought Bubble Anime Party - tickets for this event are on sale here.
Tickets for the Fanomenon Anime Day will cost £25, or £20 for concessions, and can be booked online from this web page.
