Leeds International Film Festival Fanomenon Anime Day 2015 line-up confirmed

The 2015 Leeds International Film Festival opens this Thursday, and with it comes the promise of some hot Japanese movies, both animated and live-action, to the city.

We'll be covering some of those life-action offerings right here on the site this week, but if your focus is on the anime side of the equation then you might want to make a date for Sunday, November 8th, when the festival's traditional Fanomenon Anime Day takes place.

The line-up for this day has now been confirmed, and consists of the following:

11:00 - The Murder Case of Hana & Alice
13:00 - Expelled From Paradise
15:30 - Miss Hokusai
18:00 - Ghost in the Shell (2015)
20:00 - Empire of Corpses

All of the screenings take place at Leeds Town Hall - Victoria Hall, and tickets for the full Fanomenon Anime Day are available for £25 (or £20 for concessions) from the official Leeds International Film Festival web site. Individual tickets are also available for each film at a cost of £8 (or £6 for concessions).

There are also additional screenings of Miss Hokusai taking place during the festival, you can find these taking place on Monday, 9th November at 4PM and Thursday, 12th November at 2PM at the Vue in the Light - tickets to these screenings are available here.

Notable live-action Japanese films at the event are Assassination Classroom on Sunday, November 15th at 2:30PM at the Cottage Road Cinema (tickets are here), and Tag on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30PM from Leeds Town Hall (tickets are here). We'll have reviews of both of these films up this week!
