MVM Entertainment confirms Monogatari Second Season acquisition, Samurai Champloo Blu-Ray release

It was an inevitability given the success of previous iterations in the franchise, but as of today we can now confirm that MVM Entertainment will be releasing Monogatari Second Season in the UK.

Following on from prior releases of Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari, and the forthcoming release of Nekomonogatari Black, the first story arc of Second Season, Nekomonogatari White, will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 24th.

This will then be followed by the release of the next story arc, Kabukimonogatari, on December 1st, again on both DVD and Blu-Ray. The release dates for the remaining story arcs of the series are yet to be confirmed.

In other Monogatari news, Bakemonogatari will be re-released as a Complete Series Collection on October 27th.

Another release getting a new lease of life later this year is Samurai Champloo, which will be getting a Blu-Ray release to accompany its existing DVD iteration on November 3rd.

The distributor has also confirmed some other release dates for later this year - Devil Survivor 2: The Animation will be released on DVD on October 20th, and Blast of Tempest will be released across two volumes on 17th November and 8th December respectively, with formats yet to be confirmed.
