Macross Zero Blu Ray pre-orders will go live in November

Written by Ross Locksley on 13 Sep 2024

Anime Ltd have announced via twitter  that they'll be opening pre-orders for Macross Zero in November. No other details are available at this time, but safe to say the release is highly anticipated among starved Macross fans.

Macross Zero is a prequel to the Macross saga, se one year before the original series, 2008. The story centres on a pilot named Shin Kudo who falls afoul of a transforming plane, forcing him to crash land on a Mayan island which hides a secret link between Earth and the alien invaders the world would soon come into conflict with. Providing a connecting tissue is Macross hero Roy Fokker, a test pilor for the VF-0 Phonenix variable fighter.

Directed by the legendary Shoji Kawamori, the series is made up of 5 30 minute episodes. This suggests that the Anime Ltd release will contain all 5 original episodes and possibly some extra material.
