Manga Entertainment acquire Ghost in the Shell : The New Movie

Today has seen distributors Manga Entertainment and Animatsu Entertainment reveal a number of new forthcoming releases for the coming months, solidifying plans around some previous announcements and titles as well as lifting the lid on one all-new addition to their line-up.

That entirely new entry into their schedule is Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie, Production I.G.'s 2015 Ghost in the Shell film which follows on from events in the ARISE timeline (including the as-yet unreleased in the UK Alternative Architecture). The film is scheduled for a 9th May UK release from Manga Entertainment, arriving on both DVD and Blu-ray.

The film was screened at Scotland Loves Anime in 2015, and we reviewed its theatrical premiere over here.

That aside, also confirmed is a 2nd May 2016 release for the first half of Parasyte -the maxim-, which will be arriving on both DVD and Blu-ray from Animatsu Entertainment, as well as via a Deluxe Edition Blu-ray that mirrors Sentai Filmworks US release, limited to 1,000 units and containing a Migi Bearbrick figure, screen wipe, tattoo set and rigid collector box.

Meanwhile, both Blue Exorcist and Attack on Titan Season 1 will get to enjoy Complete Series Collection releases on both DVD and Blu-ray, on the 6th June and 27th June respectively.
