Manga Entertainment to bring BLAME! to the UK

Manga Entertainment have teamed up with the French speaking anime distributor Dybex to bring BLAME! to the UK, Ireland, France and Benelux. The CG animation has been streaming on Netflix for a little while now, and is a feature length adaptation of the manga series by Tsutomu Nihei. It will be coming to DVD, Blu-ray and digital download in the UK and Ireland on 28th May 2018, and the remaining territories later in the year.

Manga Entertainment gave the following statement: "We are very excited to be partnering with the incredibly talented team at Polygon Pictures and our friends at  Dybex on this multi-territory release," says Jerome Mazandarani, COO of Manga Entertainment. "It's a ground-breaking piece of animation that redefines what anime can be and we're very proud to be bringing it to home entertainment.”

Synopsis: “In the distant technological future, civilization has reached its ultimate Net-based form. An "infection" in the past caused the automated systems to spiral out of control, resulting in a multi-leveled city structure that replicates itself infinitely in all directions. Now humanity has lost access to the city's controls and is hunted down to be purged by the defense system known as the Safeguard. With a remaining enclave known as the Electro-Fishers facing extinction and all escape routes blocked, the sudden arrival of Killy the Wanderer, on his quest to find a human who possesses the Net Terminal Gene, is the village's only hope.”
