Clearly nobody told Crunchyroll it's a bank holiday here in the UK, as they have let loose a raft of new simulcast announcements. These have come via various sources, including one very special announcement through our friends at Anime Limited. Though they really should know better then forcing us to work on writing news stories during a bank holiday...
First up in a correction to a previous news article, it appears Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- is in-fact streaming to the UK. This is despite being listed as "for members in the US and Canada" on the Crunchyroll website. Similarly the page for Space Battleship Tiramisu is currently available in the UK, though we won't know for certain until it begins streaming later today.
Synopsis: After losing her grandfather, Aoi inherits his ability to see spirits known as ayakashi. Taking it all in stride, she takes to feeding the ayakashi until one day, an ogre appears demanding she pay her grandfather’s debt. His price? Her hand in marriage! Refusing this absurd offer, Aoi decides to work at the Tenjin-ya—a bed and breakfast for the ayakashi—to pay back what her family owes.
Synopsis: The human race extended its life field and greed to the vast reaches of space... In Space Era 0156, a war breaks out amidst all of the colonies in space. Earth begins to construct a new space battleship called Tiramisu in secret. Just as the war begins, one genius pilot steers the Tiramisu as a beacon of hope for humanity.
And now onto the new announcements:
Synopsis: Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN) is a new network game that lets people enjoy a variety of missions using Gunpla in a virtual cyberspace dimension. Middle-school students Riku Mikami and Yukio Hidaka recruit their classmate Momoka Yashiro and dive together into this vast world. Becoming "Divers," or inhabitants of GBN, they meet a mysterious girl named Sarah who has an amazing sensitivity to Gunpla. They begin playing alongside her, but...
Through many encounters and experiences, Riku and his friends will build not only Gunpla, but their own adventures as well!
Synopsis: Nearly twenty years into the 21st century, people have forgotten the existence of Yokai. When a number of unexplainable phenomena plague adults of the human world with confusion and chaos, thirteen-year-old Mana writes a letter to the Yokai Post in search of answers, only to be greeted by Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro...
Synopsis: Lupin the 3rd Part 5 finds our renowned thief and his associate Daisuke Jigen hiding out in an apartment in modern-day rural France, which provides the backdrop for this latest series.
This time around Lupin is drawn into the world of technology via a site on the so-called “dark web” known as Marco Polo – a go-to place for undesirables to purchase illegal items from drugs to firearms. Can Lupin successfully infiltrate a datacenter and carry out a heist to steal digital currency from this virtual realm?
It’s a unique challenge, made all the more so by the presence of Ami, a mysterious hacking genius who has her own interest in Marco Polo, as well as a man who claims to know details of Lupin the 3rd’s past…
