Netflix live-action Cowboy Bebop announced

Netflix live-action Cowboy Bebop announced

Written by Russell Phillips on 05 Apr 2019

After many years [and the Success of john Cammerons' Battle angel Alita no doult helping] the American website hollywood reporter has confirmed the cast of the new live-action adaptation of the cult anime series Cowboy Bebop.

The series, currently commissioned by the streaming service Netflix, will star:

John Cho (recognisable to fans of the J.J Abrams Star Trek films as Sulu) will play the main character, bounty hunter Spike Spiegel.

Luke Cage actor Mustafa Shakir will appear as Spike's partner Jet Black.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's Daniella Pineda will play con-artist and femme fatale Fae Valentine.

Alex Hassel rounds out the cast as a crime boss and Spike's rival Vicious.

Finally Alex Garcia Lopez, who directed the Marvel/Netflix series Daredevil, Luke Cage and Cloak and Dagger will be directing the first two episode of the 10 episode series. If his work on the prison fate in Daredevil season 3's episode "Blindsided" is anything to go by, the action sequences should be outstanding.
