Annual horror movie festival to run from 27-31st August 2015

Frightfest has become a much awaited event on horror movie fans' calendars over the last fifteen years as it brings some of the best of brand new and classic horror films to the cinema screens around London's Leicester Square each August. This year Asian film pickings are a little slim, in fact there's only one (so far) but it's a good one as Takashi Miike's theatrically themed ghost story Over Your Dead Body makes its UK premiere.
Over Your Dead Body sees star actress Miyuki Goto (Ko Shibasaki) star as Oiwa in a play based on the classic ghost story Yotsuya Kaidan and pulls a few strings to get her up and coming actor boyfriend (real life kabuki star Ebizo Ichikawa) a part too. However, some of the other supporting cast are also interested in Miyuki and pretty soon on stage lust and betrayals begin to blur with the off stage world colliding with psychological illnesses and the supernatural for one very bloody conclusion.
Over Your Dead Body screens at 10.30am on Sunday 30th August 2015. Frightfest 2015 takes place at the Vue cinema in Leicester Square, London, from 27-31st August 2015. Festival passes will be on sale from Frightfest's official website from Saturday 4th July with tickets for individual films on sale from 25th of July. A full festival pass is £185 with day passes at £30 Thursday, £60 Friday & Saturday and £50 for Monday. Tickets for individual films are priced at £13.25.
