The London Barbican Cinema announce All Kaiju Attack: Earth SOS

Giant monsters with an environmental theme

Written by Richard Durrance on 20 Jun 2025

The London Barbican Cinema have announced a short series of kaiju films across September and December: All Kaiju Attack: Earth SOS!

Focussing on some of the more environmental aspects of the Godzilla series and a single Gamera entry, each with an introduction, including Godzilla vs Biollante, which was recently released by Criterion on Blu-ray.

A shame perhaps that they missed out the wonderful, bonkers and very on-topic Godzilla vs Hedorah (aka The Smog Monster), but we can't have everything, can we?

Tickets are available here and details of the screenings below.

About Richard Durrance

Long-time anime dilettante and general lover of cinema. Obsessive re-watcher of 'stuff'. Has issues with dubs. Will go off on tangents about other things that no one else cares about but is sadly passionate about. (Also, parentheses come as standard.) Looks curiously like Jo Shishido, hamster cheeks and all.
