For fans of Japanese crime drama, Fuji TV's Tokyo Dogs is landing on Netflix this Saturday.
The series follows So Takakura (Shun Oguri) who grows up to be an exemplary policeman in New York following the murder of his father, his determination driven by the need to catch the killer.
As a cool-headed and disciplined cop, he's sent to Tokyo to conduct a joint drugs investigation with Maruo Kudo (Hiro Muzushima), his direct opposite in terms of personality. The two mismatched cops stumble onto a case that involves Takakura's father courtesy of an amnesiac woman with ties to the murder.
The drama unfolds across 10 episodes, making this a bite-sized piece of 2000's TV nostalgia with strong comedic elements and, if reviews are to be believed, great chemistry between the two likeable leads.
The series will be live on Netflix Saturday 27th September.
