Anime Limited to release title in the UK
Written by A. H. on 16 Aug 2016
Back in October of last year, there was some disappointment expressed by fans when Turn A Gundam was announced as a DVD-only title as part of Sunrise's current efforts to bring all things Mobile Suit Gundam to the west - after all, the series has had a Blu-ray release in Japan, so why not here too? It was a question which ultimately led to the release of the series being indefinitely delayed in the UK while the situation was ironed out, but the longer wait for the series to arrive on our shores has ultimately proved fruitful.
Of all of the announcements at the Otakon convention in Baltimore last weekend, perhaps the most important for UK fans was confirmation that Turn A Gundam will now indeed be getting a Blu-ray release - US distributor Right Stuf will be releasing the show across two subtitle-only Blu-ray sets in early 2017, and it's subsequently been confirmed by Anime Limited president Andrew Partridge that they will be following suit for the UK, aiming to release the series here in the same timeframe.
Of course, we'll share more on exact release dates and any other plans as we receive them, but for now you can rest assured that the Gundam Blu-rays will keep on rolling into the UK.
