Viewster reveal more details about Omakase service

Contents of first box confirmed and more

If you've been floating around in the LCL that is social media over the past week, you may have seen streaming service Viewster touting their forthcoming Omakase offering, which comprises both an anime-themed "subscription box" service (a la Loot Crate) and a subscription to watch HD, ad-free video on the service.

More details on this product offering for the US, Canada and UK have now emerged courtesy of the ICv2 web site, including confirmation that the first bi-monthly subscription box will be themed around Kill la Kill and includes a gold plated volume of the show's manga adaptation from Udon Entertainment, while pricing for the service has been listed as $25 plus shipping for the US market.

Online video service Viewster will launch Omakase, its new subscription box/streaming service with an exclusive gold-foil hardcover edition of the Kill la Kill manga.  With Omakase, inspired by “chef’s choice,” Viewster is employing a clever new twist on the subscription box phenomenon by bundling a bi-monthly box of unique merchandise with an online subscription to ad-free Viewster video content.   Exclusive digital content will also be added, including min-EP albums featuring new music from popular artists and original comics by well-known creators.

You can read more over at ICv2, or you can sign up and create an account to find out more about Omakase moving forward on Viewster's web site. Anyone who encourages 20 others to sign up and create accounts on the site via a referral link will receive a free "beta box", but we're already tired of the social media and forum spam it's created so please use it responsibly if you really feel compelled to do so at all.
