Written by Ross Locksley on 12 Aug 2024

Tragic news today as we hear that Rachael Lillis, best known to millions of Pokemon fans as the energetic Misty and villainous Jessie, has passed away at the age of 55 due to breast cancer. Originally reported to be 46 or 48, Rachael's sister confirmed her age as 55 to The New York Times.

A staple of anime and Western animation shows, including WInx Club, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Berserk and many, many more, she had a notable career as a voice actor and was described as a talented voice actor by her fellow Team Rocket voice actor Eric Stuart, who played James. The two worked together for many years voicing the pair across numerous Pokemon TV shows and movies.

You can find a list of Rachael's work on IMDB, it's more than likely she worked on one of your favourite TV shows growing up.
