Yen Press acquire The Empty Box and the Zeroth Maria

Eiji Mikage's supernatural series picked up

Written by A. H. on 19 Dec 2016

As part of their own 12 Days of Christmas celebrations, over the weekend manga publisher Yen Press - and more specifically their light novel imprint Yen On - had a new acquisition to show off.

The license in question pertains to Eiji Mikage's supernatural psychological horror series The Empty Box and the Zeroth Maria, which spans a total of seven volumes. Here's a brief blurb on the series from Yen Press themselves:

Kazuki Hoshino leads the easy-going life of a typical high school student — until the appearance of a new girl in his class turns his world upside down! Introducing herself with a promise to “break” Kazuki is abnormal enough to make an impression, sure, but why does she seem so familiar…?

There's no news of when we can expect to see the first volume of the series arrive in Engilsh presently, but keep an eye on our release calendar for this and other forthcoming releases!

You can see the announcement for yourself on the Yen Press web site.
