Yen Press license Akame Ga Kill! Zero manga

Akame Ga Kill has proven itself to be a hot property, hitting US TV screens with some success while a UK home video release is on the way from Animatsu Entertainment.

It seems that the show's original manga has also been a success for publisher Yen Press, as they yesterday announced that they are complementing their English language releases of that original series by also picking up its prequel, Akame Ga Kill! Zero.

This particular series - written by original series author Takahiro - focuses on titular character Akame, and takes in events set a few years before the main story begins.

There's no release date set for the series in English at present, but needless to say we'll keep you posted when we hear any more!

In other Yen Press news, it's also been confirmed by the publisher that Servant x Service, previously slated for a digital-only release, will also receive a physical release as a series of 2-in-1 omnibus editions starting in April 2016.
