Godzilla Minus One stomps into cinemas on December 15th

Written by Ross Locksley on 22 Nov 2023

Toho's mighty Godzilla returns to cinemas on December 15th on IMAX, 4DX, Screen X and Dolby Cinema across the UK. Written and directed by VFX specialist Takashi Yamazaki, the lauded film maker describes the film as "the culmination of all the films I have made to date, and one that deserves to be "experienced" rather than "watched" in the theater".

As a leading figure in the Japanese film industry, Yamazaki has won multiple awards for his visual effects work on Stand By Me Doraemon, Lupin III: The First and The Great War of Archimedes.

GODZILLA MINUS ONE had its World Premiere on 18th October 2023 and was selected as  the closing film of the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film stars Ryunosuke Kamiki (“Your Name”) alongside Minami Hamabe (“Shin Kamen Rider”).  The film shows Japan already on its knees and struggling to cope after the second Great War, even before Godzilla appears to wreak more havoc.
