Written by Ross Locksley on 07 Feb 2026

MCM Comic Con returns on May 22nd-24th and guest announcements are now being made available. Fans of Death Note will be delighted to  hear that the English voice talents for Light, L, Misa and Ryuk will be in attendance all three days.

From the Press Release:

The cast helped to bring the series’ complex characters and psychological tension to life. Chan-Kent voiced Misa Amane with a balance of charm and vulnerability, Drummond portrayed the sardonic Shinigami Ryuk, Swaile delivered a critically acclaimed performance as Light Yagami, and Juliani brought subtle intensity to the enigmatic detective L.

Shannon Chan-Kent is a voice actress and singer known for her work in animation and anime. She is widely recognised for her roles in Death Note and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, as well as for voicing Amy Rose in Sonic Prime. Her career also includes extensive work across franchises such as Slugterra and the Barbie series, along with vocal performances for animated soundtracks.

Alongside his work on Death Note as the voice behind Shinigami Ryuk, Brian Drummond is best known for portraying the original English voice of Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z. With decades of experience working across many of your favourite anime and video games, Drummond has also brought his distinctive voice to major franchises including Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Ninjago, and Transformers: Cybertron.

Beyond the Death Note series, Brad Swaile is known for his roles as Rock in Black Lagoon and for his extensive work within the Gundam franchise, including Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing, and Gundam 00. He has also appeared in Dragon Ball Z and X-Men: Evolution, often portraying intelligent and emotionally complex characters.

Alessandro Juliani’s work spans both animation and live-action television. In addition to voicing L in Death Note, he is widely recognised for his on-screen roles in Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, The 100, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, showcasing his range across science fiction and dramatic television.

You can book your tickets for the event at the MCM Comic Con website.
