Macross II: Lovers Again Kickstarter launches next week

Written by Dawfydd Kelly on 20 Oct 2023

The folks over at AnimEigo have just announced that they are going to be returning to Kickstarter to fund another of their spiffy collectors editions of classic anime, this time for Macross II: Lovers Again.

Effectively the black sheep of the Macross franchise, Macross II has long been regarded as a non-canon entry into the franchise, but it has it's charms (not least some stunning mecha design).

For the next week the preview page for the Kickstarter is live here, and AnimEigo are taking comments & feedback, including just what to call this edition. Personally I'm leaning towards Valkyrie Edition.

The campaign will also take suggestions for who they should ask to provide commentary - we'd suggest the UK's own mecha expert Ollie Barder.
