It's one of the year's biggest theatrical releases, and we suspect you'll be as pleased as we are to know that it's getting a decent airing at cinemas around the UK, as both the Showcase Cinema and Vue Cinema chains have confirmed via their respective web sites that Makoto Shinkai's latest film, Your Name, will be screening in a variety of UK locations.

The film will visit a number of Showcase locations from 24th November 2016, with the following locations currently listed as screening the film:

We fully expect that the film will also find a home at plenty of other locations as part of its theatrical run, so of course we'll keep you posted as any further plans are announced. We wouldn't be entirely surprised to see it appear at a certain anime-centric film festival to boot...

If you're unfamiliar, the synopsis of the film is thus:

Mitsuha and Taki are two total strangers living completely different lives. But when Mitsuha makes a wish to leave her mountain town and for the bustling city of Tokyo, they become connected in a bizarre way. She dreams she is a boy living in Tokyo while Taki dreams he is a girl from a rural town he’s never been to.

We've heard plenty of good things about the film, so we're looking forward to seeing it reach the UK - will you be checking it out? Let us know in the comments!
