Restored version of Belladonna of Sadness screens at Edinburgh International Film Festival

The psychedlic and controversial 1973 film Belladonna of Sadness is finding its way onto iTunes in a glorious new 4K restorared form on 12th July, but if you want to see this infamous Mushi Production movie before then youll be pleased to hear that it's getting a UK premiere in theatrical form as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The film will be screened in association with Scotland Loves Anime at the Edinburgh Filmhouse - the movie screens on Friday 24th June at 11:30PM, and you can buy tickets for the screening on the official web site.

There are also a number of Japanese live-action films that make up the film festival's schedule - here are the highlights:
