It's been a while since I picked up anything Revoltech. Decades, actually (she's the only Revoltech reviewed on the site in fact!), my articulated figure needs being met mostly by SH Figuarts and Figma. Yet here we are, finally a Juri figure to go with the countless options available for the rest of the cast. While there have been many statues of Juri, this is the very first action figure. so of course I dove straight in and crossed my fingers that she'd go nicely with my SH Figuarts figures.

As an aside before we get started, I've been a fan of Juri since her debut in Street Fighter 4 - partly because she's Korean, and one of my main clients is based there meaning I've visited the country quite a few times and enjoy the culture. I also liked the fact we had an actual female "baddie" in Street Fighter, with characters like Kolin not being overly popular and Bison's Dolls merely mind-controlled puppets. Juri felt like a cackling breath of fresh, evil air, and while they've softened her edges in the later games and the Udon comics, she still broke out as a memorable and enjoyable addition to the roster. Some might point to the feet thing, but that would make Makoto, Ibuki and Laura just as popular if that's all there was to it. Though let's be honest, it probably doesn't hurt either.

Anyway, out of the box, Juri comes with three additional faces for a total of four, plus a bonus Chun Li face. All of the faces are very expressive, seemingly taken from the game's select screen, though I will say that two of them are very similar and I would have appreciated at least one face where she had her mouth closed. Once in place they're a perfect likeness for the Street Fighter 6 rendition, so if that's your favourite Juri, you're in luck.

The faces are all very accurate to her screen incarnation, which is admirable for such a small figure

We get 6 pairs of hands, but curiously no fists - the most fun are a hand holding her signature lolly-pop and another popping the V-sign. She can grip her included mobile phone pretty well and finally we have two effects pieces. In all I'd say she was pretty well catered for and I managed to squeeze quite a few good poses out of her, even unaided.

While Juri does come with a stand (and that's certainly how I'd recommend displaying her) she can actually stand pretty well too, possibly due to the amount of weight she has in those baggy trousers. Posing her with Chun Li and using one figure to balance the other, I got some great kicking shots with no need for any editing. She'll even stand on one foot for some posing, which I have to say was a surprise.

She poses very well with SH Figuarts figures

In terms of posing, she has a lot to give in her neck, allowing for some great head gestures. Her shoulders are on a ball-joint giving them a good range of motion - her elbows will bend just over ninety degrees, which means that she can touch the back of her head, but can't reach her face. She has some movement in her chest and hips, allowing you to pose her in a seductive S shape, she has swivels in the hips, a cut in the thighs and big ball joints in her baggy trousers. Her feet are on a ball-pin, allowing for up and down movement but only a little ankle tilt, while finally she has hinged toes which are pretty much essential for fighting scenes.

Overall you can get her into some cracking poses, but there are limitations you'll have to work around.

Revoltech Juri Han
Yep, she can stand freely, even on her hinged-toes.

The paint is generally very sharp - there's no overspill or under-painting of any of the stripes that adorn her costume which is usually the first sign of a poor paint-job on any representation of this outfit. The black stipe body details are very sharp and pleasingly shiny, while the white layers of her outfit have a metallic finish that captures the light very nicely. Smaller details, such as nails, spikes and her belt are all very sharp indeed and even the zipper on her trousers shows the individual teeth - I've honestly no complaints on the sculpt or the finish here.

One curious item of note is her belt buckle, which floats unfastened at her waist. It can't be tabbed in or attached so far as I can see, making it seem strangely unfit for its only task. I checked the box to see if my copy was defective,  but the official photography shows it floating in exactly the same way, so I guess that's the norm. Odd.

Revoltech Juri Han vs SH Figuarts Chun Li
A slight change of venue for this one...

£58 is on the high side for an articulated figure, though some of that cost is explained by recent inflation. Compared to Jakks or even SH Figuarts she's on the pricey side, but as the only option on the market that fits in with either of those lines, I think it's money well spent. Obviously if you're importing you'll have to consider the extra cost of shipping and possible duty, so if she's the only toy in the box you're looking at a total of around £70-£80, which to me is a bit high. Thankfully I had a Nendoroid Ranma-chan to split the shipping cost with, so that lessens the blow a touch. For Juri fans this is a great figure for your desk, a maniacal femme-fatale with great colours, presence and sculpt-work to keep things naughty. Recommended but pricey.

A surprisingly balanced figure that can pull of a lot of excellent poses unaided. Tight joints and a good likeness make her attractive and enjoyable, if a bit pricey.
