I suspect we've probably exhausted any positive adjectives we have for Satoshi Kon's seminal film Perfect Blue at this stage in proceedings, and needless to say it remains a must-watch film for anime fans in our opinion.
If you're yet to own the film on Blu-ray, then it appears that this summer may offer you a tantalising opportunity courtesy to the emergence of a listing on online retailer Zavvi for an exclusive Perfect Blue Limited Edition Blu-ray Steelbook from UK distributor Anime Limited.
The release, which contains both the four art cards and on-disc content of the previous non-Steelbook edition, is currently set for a 22nd August release date.
Perhaps even more tantalisingly, the image of this Steelbook shows it prominently displaying a number "2" on the spine of the case. Of course, this begs the question: What is Anime Limited's Steelbook number "1", if such a thing exists?...
If you want to see it for yourself, you can find the listing (which currently isn't live for pre-order, hence its "Sold Out" designation) on the Zavvi web site.
EDIT (21/05/2016): This Steelbook Edition of Perfect Blue is now officially available for pre-order at the link above. An updated image showing the release as number "1" in a series of Steelbooks from the distributor has also been added to the listing.
