Ideas and possibilities have been floating around ever since distributor Anime Limited announced their plans to bundle and release all of Full Metal Panic as a Blu-ray Ultimate Edition, but yesterday brought those plans into focus with the first full announcement of the strategy for this release.
In short, this Ultimate Edition will comprise of Full Metal Panic, Fumoffu and The Second Raid across seven Blu-ray discs, together with a 76 page hardcover art book containing character, mecha and location illustrations and information. The collection will be encased in a rigid box holding the book and all three series in their own individual Amaray cases within.
It's also been confirmed that Full Metal Panic and The Second Raid will receive standalone releases in the UK at some point in the future, while Fumoffu on Blu-ray will remain exclusive to this Ultimate Edition.
The Ultimate Edition release is currently slated to arrive some time in December, with an SRP on £149.99.
