Appleseed Alpha and Marvel Anime Boxset UK release dates confirmed

Arriving October 27th

Written by A. H. on 04 Sep 2014

Outside of the sphere of all of the usual suspects publishing anime in the UK, we occasionally see globs of output appear from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment as they bring content for which they hold the rights to our shores, and it appears that this October will see just such an occurrence take place.

Thus, October 27th now looks to be the likely home of two new Sony Pictures releases - first we have both a DVD and Blu-Ray release (both of which also bundle a digital "Ultraviolet" copy) of Appleseed Alpha, allowing you to pick up this latest Shinji Aramaki-directed instalment from the Appleseed universe shortly after its screenings at Scotland Loves Anime.

Arriving on the same day is the Marvel Anime Boxset on DVD - details are sparse on what this boxset actually contains, but we'd expect this to contain all of four of Madhouse's TV anime series based on Marvel properties, they being Iron Man, Blade, Wolverine and X-Men.

Are you interested in either of these releases? Let us know in the comments!
