Bubblegum Crisis Blu-Ray Kickstarter commences

Quite a few members of UK Anime staff are rather big fans of late 1980s OVA Bubblegum Crisis, so we're more than a little interest in this appearance of a Kickstarter project from Animeigo's Robert Woodhead to bring the series to the west in Blu-Ray form.

With a $75,000 goals and pledges sitting just shy of $50,000 at the time of writing, the project plans to release the entire eight-episode OVA series, in its remastered High Definition form, across two region-free BD50 discs complete with English dub and both English and French subtitles.

While many of the backing tiers have already been filled, there are sitll opportunities to add your funds to tiers that will net you a copy of the finished Blu-Ray release and potentially more upon completion of the project.
