A new anime season is almost upon us (and we have a summer season preview guide to prove it), which means that it's time to start talking about summer season simulcasts.
Kicking things off yesterday were Crunchyroll, who confirmed that they'll be streaming no fewer than four titles from Aniplex to the UK this summer - here's what we have to look forward to over the coming months:
Charlotte - This series written by Jun Maeda and animated by P.A. Works imagines an alternate reality where some children find themselves gaining superpowers upon reaching puberty. Charlotte follows a student council who do their utmost to help these teenagers go about their normal lives by assisting them in overcoming whatever troubles they face.
The series begins on Saturday, 4th July 2015, with episodes airing every week at 6PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.
Classroom Crisis - Another original series now, and a full directorial debut for Kenji Nagasaki as he takes on Lay-Duce's romantic comedy Classroom Crisis. In a world where humanity has colonised the solar system there is much to do, meaning that even high school students are now working on a salary as they learn the important skills needed for this interplanetary future.
This series begins on Friday, 3rd July 2015, and episodes arrive every week at 8:30PM UK time at this Crunchyroll page.
Durarara!! x2 The Second Arc - Studio Shuka return for their second of three seasons of this Durarara sequel as it continues to adapt Ryogho Narita's popular light novels.
The series begins on Saturday, 4th July 2015, with episodes airing every week at 5:30PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.
Wagnaria!! 3 - Last but most certainly not least, we close with a third season for restaurant sitcom Working (or Wagnaria, to use its official western title). After two consistently enjoyable series from A-1 Pictures previously the Wagnaria gang return for a third season of hijinks and character-driven laughs.
This series also begins on Saturday, 4th July 2015, with a new episode arriving each week at 6:30PM UK time to this Crunchyroll page.
Which of these series will you be keeping up with this summer? Let us know in the comments!
