North American distributor Discotek Media continues to raise their game when it comes to releasing both classic and slightly more recent anime, and yesterdya saw them unveil another quartet of new license announcements for their territory.
Perhaps the most notable amongst these is Bokurano, the anime adaptation of a dark sci-fi manga series (released by Viz Media in the west) which aired in 2007. The series will enjoy a subtitle-only DVD release in the US some time next year.
Also announced are a number of releases with more definitive release dates, starting with the first series of the harem comedy show Comic Party, a series previously released by Right Stuf but given a new lease of life on DVD in January 2015.
Also arriving in January of next year is Lupin III: Napoleon’s Dictionary, another instalment from the long-running Lupin III franchise in the form of a TV special which aired in 1991 in Japan.
Finally, the Samurai Troopers TV series will be released by the company in February 2015 as a subtitle-only DVD collection.
Would you like to see any of these shows reach the UK? Let us know in the comments!
