Discotek Media license School Days anime in North America

Discotek Media license School Days anime in North America

Written by A. H. on 27 Feb 2014

Discotek Media yesterday touted a new license on their Facebook page, and it's certainly an interesting one!

The license in question is School Days, the anime adaptation of an adult (and in parts brutally violent) visual novel, which is itself available in English via JAST USA.

This story of school boy Makoto Itou and his love life will be released in this anime form on DVD by Discotek Media in a release containing both the complete, twelve episode series as well as the show's Magical Heart Kokoro-chan OVA spin-off episode (although not the other Valentine Days OVA which was also released in Japan).  The release will hit North America on June 24th 2014.

If you want to know more about School Days, you can read our review of the series, which is also available in streaming form from Crunchyroll.

Alongside this, Discotek have also confirmed a June 24th date for their DVD releases of DNA² and Ringing Bell.
