FunimationNOW UK adds three more summer simulcasts

Written by A. H. on 29 Jun 2016

UK streaming newcomer FunimationNOW had already unveiled a substantial list of summer 2016 simulcasts to get you excited, but today has seen them lift the lid on another trio of titles that will be making its way to our shores.

Sadly, this also brings confirmation that the second season of The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance will be available in the US and Canada only - let's hope someone else manages to bring that our way.

Anyhow, here are the three additional shows that we are getting here:

Cheer Boys!! - Haruki Bandou was born into a family of Judo marital artists and expected to continue the family legacy. But he’s about to trade Judo for... cheerleading?! When his childhood friend Kazuma Hashimoto invites him to join the BREAKERS, a male cheerleading club, Haru finds himself amongst a quirky group of boys. Can this squad of slightly odd and cute members make a breakthrough in college athletics?

The series starts on Tuesday 5th July, with episodes airing each week at 2:30PM UK time.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. - Kusuo Saiki is a typical 16-year-old high school student... except he has psychic powers. He can use them to get whatever he wants, but he also knows everything that people are thinking. Everything. No surprises, no secrets, no normal human experiences. He’s kept his powers in check since childhood, but with the temptations of high school now on his mind, he’s bending the rules - and spoons.

Broadcast dates and times are yet to be confirmed for the series.

Puzzle & Dragons X - From the studio Pierrot, that brought you Kingdom and Tokyo Ghoul comes a series based off of the hit game Puzzle & Dragons. Dorogoza Island is rich in “Drop Energy” that players can use on friendly monsters. Once strong enough, they can face enemies in puzzle wars. Winners reap rewards, but what happens to the losers? Only the brave can take on these monstrous challenges!

Again, dates and times are to be confirmed for this title.

This leaves the UK's full summer line-up from FunimationNOW looking as follows:

- Cheer Boys!!
- Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE
- D.Gray-man HALLOW
- Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School (Future Arc and Despair Arc)
- The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
- Endride (continuing from Spring)
- First Love Monster
- Handa-kun
- Puzzle & Dragons X
- Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars
- Sca-red Rider XechS
- Servamp
- Tales of Zestiria the X
