Funimation Entertainment switch three titles to Blu-ray only UK release

Written by A. H. on 11 Feb 2017

We recently saw Funimation Entertainment run into some difficulties with their release of No-Rin, with the realisation that their license for the show's UK release demanded the use of PAL DVDs - a lower quality and more expensive option that ultimately saw the series switched to a Blu-ray only release.

Yesterday saw distributor Anime Limited confirm via their latest Newswire that the same issue has afflicted three other forthcoming titles, meaning that Brothers ConflictSnow White and the Red Hair and Heavy Object will now also sport no UK DVD release and will only be available via a Blu-ray SKU.

In the case of Brothers Conflict, what was to be a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will now solely be a Blu-ray release, while the other two series were due separate DVD and Blu-ray releases, the DVD edition of which has now been cancelled.

You can find this information and plenty more Anime Limited and Funimation Entertainment news at the latest All the Anime Newswire.
