J-Novel Club acquires Invaders of the Rokujouma!? light novels

Written by A. H. on 04 May 2017

J-Novel Club have been busy over the past week or so, adding new titles to their line-up of digitally published light novels, and yesterday saw them make a particularly big announcement.

The publisher plans to release the first twenty-two volumes of  the Invaders of the Rokujouma!? light novel series absolutely free to both members and non-members, using an edited and updated translation previously made available for free via less legal means, while also starting work on translating future volumes of the series beyond this point.

As of now, the first three volumes are available for free with a new volume set to be added every month alongside plans to release every volue in eBook form, while the first half of volume 23 is also available to subscribers to J-Novel Club's service.

You can find all of this content on the J-Novel Club web site - if you want to know more about the series, here's the synopsis:

Just starting high school, Koutarou is moving out on his own to take some of the burden off of his widower father. Lucky for him, he’s found a room at Corona House. It has a great landlord, it’s not too far from school, and best of all, it’s dirt cheap. It really is perfect... except for the strange girls that keep appearing to try and take it over! But even as room 106 turns into a battlefield, Koutarou isn’t willing to give up his apartment without a good fight. The invasion begins!

The anime adaptation of the series is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK from MVM Entertainment.
