Kill la Kill Volume 1 Collector's Edition Blu-ray delayed until December 1st

Discs recalled due to audio sync issue

Written by A. H. on 28 Oct 2014

If you've just checked out our Under the Covers video for the Kill la Kill Collector's Edition - Part 1, you'll have heard us wearily reporting an issue with audio syncronisation on the Blu-ray's English language dub.

The good news is that, as a result of this issue being discovered by those picking up copies of the Blu-ray early from the MCM London Comic Con, all stock of the release has now been recalled so that distributor Anime Limited can replaced the stock with new, correct and working discs to ensure that all retail copies are fault-free.

Of course, this does mean that the Blu-ray edition of the release will be delayed, and while the DVD version of the Collector's Edition will still arrive on November 3rd, the Blu-ray release has now been pushed back to Monday December 1st 2014 until the issue is resolved.

As frustrating as the emergence of yet another issue is, we can only commend Anime Limited for their quick actions in getting the problem resolved, and also doing so before the problematic disc falls into the hands of too many consumers.

If you did pick up an early, affected copy of this Collector's Edition on Blu-ray (and note that the DVD edition is not affected), Anime Limited will still be offering fixed replacement discs once they're available.
