Knights of Sidonia and Puella Magi Madoka Magica movies delayed

We sure are keeping busy on the release delay front at the moment, at this afternoon has brought us news to some further release date changes from both Manga Entertainment and Animatsu Entertainment.

The delays in question pertain to both Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movies 1 & 2 and Knights of Sidonia Season 1, both of which have been pushed back to a new date of September 7th from previously slated dates of August 10th and 17th respectively.

The reason for these delays is down to getting the requisite approvals from licensors, as the official statement below reveals:

"Unfortunately due to approval times taking slightly longer than we anticipated, the release date for Knights of Sidonia Series 1 and Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movie 1 & 2 have now had to be pushed back to September 7^th. Please know that we constantly strive to give fans the best possible quality releases and we hope you’ll see the detail and effort reflected in these titles. Retailer sites will be updated shortly with the new dates."
