Live-action Black Butler film certified for UK cinema release

Live-action Black Butler film certified for UK cinema release

Written by A. H. on 20 Sep 2014

It's a perennial hot seller in its manga iteration, and we'd wager that its anime adaptation hasn't fared too badly either, and now it seems that the live-action Black Butler movie which appeared in Japanese theatres this year will also be making its way to the UK.

The news comes courtesy of the BBFC web site (thanks to forum member Tora-kun), which reveals that this live-action Black Butler film has been submitted for certification by Warner Bros Entertainment UK Ltd with a view towards a theatrical release in cinemas. The film has been given a 15 certificate as a result.

We don't have any concrete news on when we might see UK theatrical screenings of the movie, but some information is suggesting it will open on October 17th 2014. We'll certainly be keeping an ear to the ground for more information however!
