MVM Entertainment announcements and release schedule

Written by D. R. on 28 Oct 2017

Here at UK Anime Network we pride ourselves on bringing you the best news, first. Having broken the exclusive news that MVM Entertainment had licensed No Game No Life Zero as part of their 2018 line-up, our spies down at MCM London Comic Con have managed to get MVM Entertainment to spill the beans about their full release schedule.

If you are just here for the new licence announcements they are as follows:

Battle Girl High School, Girl’s Last Tour, Himouto! Umaru-chan R, Land of the Lustrous, Love and Lies, Made in Abyss, Princess Principal, UQ Holder!, and Vatican Miracle Examiner - all of which are scheduled for a 2018 release.

Otherwise the full MVM Entertainment release schedule is:

Girls und Panzer: This Is The Real Anzio Battle OVA - previously scheduled for 6th November 2017, will now land on 20th November 2017.

Synopsis: A piece of spaghetti or a military unit, George S. Patton famously said, "can only be led from the front end." However, once the heat of battle has cooled and the fog of war turns as thick as minestrone, determining which end was front and who pulled on what can be difficult.

Therefore, for the enthusiasts who've puzzled over the epic tank battle between the girls of Oorai Girls' Academy and their Italian-themed rivals from Anzio High School, we present these classified videos for your eyes-only! Miho and Team Oorai will have their hands full with the impulsive attacks of Vice-Commander Pepperoni and facing the raw fury of Vice-Commander Carpaccio… but the real question is whether they can hold off Anchovy's ultra-secret secret weapons! Will they persevere? Or will their opponents end up saying "tank" you very much… for the victory!

Girls und Panzer der Film - While this one has been available from MVM’s anime-on-line store for a little while it will officially hit other retailers on 20th November 2017. You can check out our thoughts on the film here.

Synopsis: In Girls und Panzer der Film, when the Ministry of Education goes back on its promise to keep Ooarai Girls Academy open, the task of saving the five-mile-long Academy Ship from the wreckers falls to Miho and her barely-seasoned tankery team. However, things go off track almost immediately.

While the Oorai tank crew may have won the high school tournament, they're now facing a larger and more experienced university team, and if they fail, their armored vehicles will be forfeit! Will they be swapping their tanks for the memories? It's possible, but winning a tank battle is all about tactics and teamwork, and the fledgling Ooarai students have more friends and allies than anyone suspects. Get ready for another high-caliber round of the only sport where "having a blast" doesn't necessarily mean you're having a great time, as the Ooarai team puts everything on the line!

Norn9 Collection - Similar to Girls und Panzer der Film Norn9 is currently available direct from MVM, but will land at other retailers from 20th November 2017.

Synopsis: It's been so long since someone used her name that she's forgotten it. Suddenly, she's ripped away from everything she knows, chosen by a mysterious organization called The World for a secret mission. However, from the moment she steps on board the incredible spacecraft Norn, she knows that she's found home. The other young people aboard the ship are just like her: gifted with unexpected skills and abilities. Now, to protect the future of peace and harmony, they're at The World's beck and call. Maybe she'll find more than just a purpose. Maybe she's finally found a family and, possibly, even… her soul mate? Join three amazing girls, nine incredible guys, and a mysterious kid as an epic odyssey begins.

Log Horizon Season 1 & 2 Collector's Edition - Compiling both seasons of the anime based in an online fantasy game, we reviewed each part when they originally came out: Series 1 Part 1, Series 1 Part 2, Series 2 Part 1, Series 2 Part 2. The release date for this one remains unchanged, and is still scheduled for 27th November 2017. Also coming next year will be two standard editions, one for each season, which will land on 12th March 2018.

Synopsis: The online fantasy game Elder Tales is a worldwide phenomenon, immersing millions of players in its intricately conceived virtual world. However, the release of the game's twelfth expansion pack makes that immersion all too literal, as players from around the world are suddenly pulled into the game's no-longer-fictional universe!

Now, eight-year ET veteran Shiroe, his friend Naotsugu, the beautiful assassin Akatsuki, and 30,000 other players are faced with the daunting task of learning how to deal with an entirely new reality, one where the Non-Player Characters are actually alive, and the tips and tricks learned while playing with a keyboard no longer apply. Flesh and blood replace avatars and stat lists, and an entire world stands on the brink of Apocalypse in the ultimate LOG HORIZON SEASON 1 & SEASON 2 complete collection!

Fruits Basket Collector's Edition - The classic series is set for a re-release in the form of a Blu-ray collector's edition. The new set will be available from 4th December 2017. We reviewied the series' first re-release back in 2012.

Synopsis: Life for 16-year-old Tohru is turned upside down when she suddenly loses her mother. Without a home and unwilling to burden her friends, she’s stuck living in a tent. But what she doesn’t realize is she’s on Souma family property and her life is about to get even more complicated when she gets caught up in their big family secret!

Monster Musume - Collector's Collection Combi - We reported the delay to everyone's favourite monster girl series a little while ago, and that date still stands: 11th December 2017. Our catgirl correspondent salivated over reviewed it recently.

Synopsis: No one expected the government to suddenly acknowledge the existence of demi-human species like harpies and centaurs, but when a careless Integration Agent shows up on Kimihito Kurusu's doorstep with an attractive Lamia in tow, he suddenly finds himself designated as a "Host Family". This might not be so bad, except that while Miia's top half is all girl and quickly develops a crush on her new human host, her snakelike bottom half makes that crush literal with a tendency to squeeze the life out of him! Plus, there's also the little problem that it's illegal for humans and non-humans to have THOSE kinds of relationships.

With woman-in-black Agent Smith always sniffing about for improprieties, things only get more hectic in the Kurusu household when bird-brained Papi the harpy and master-seeking centaur Centorea need places to roost and stable. As the house gets crowded with even more captivating cuties, can any human male survive under such tempestuous and tempting conditions?

GATE - Collection (Blu-ray) - Even the JSDF forces can't stop this one being delayed, with the collection now set to land on 2nd April 2018. We reviewed it in streaming form.

Synopsis: When a mysterious gate suddenly appears in Tokyo's Ginza district and begins spewing armed warriors and flying monsters, the world is thrown into turmoil. Although the deadly attack is thrown back by Japan's Self Defense Force, there's now a new and entirely unknown land on the other side of the portal, and Japan is effectively at war with a nation on the other side.

Determined to secure peace, the JSDF must send an armed force into the Gate, but ogres, dragons and a ruthless Empire populated by elves, humans, and half-animal warriors aren't the only dangers they'll face. With the resources of two worlds at stake, the balance of power on both sides of the Gate is destabilizing, and betrayal can come at any time, from any quarter. There, trapped right in the middle of the ensuing firestorm, stands officer Yoji Itami and the JSDF's Third Reconnaissance Team as they plunge into the GATE.
