Now that Scotland Loves Anime 2015 is done and in the books (unless you're in Aberdeen this weekend), it's a perfect time to reflect upon what we - and over 6,000 others - saw on the big screen over the past couple of weeks.
This also means that we now know the winners of the festival's jury and audience awards, from a selection of four films in competition - Miss Hokusai, The Murder Case of Hana & Alice, Expelled from Paradise and Empire of Corpses.
First of all, the four-person panel that made up this year's judges selected Production I.G's Miss Hokusai as the winner of the jury award by a margin of five votes to three (each member of the jury gets to cast two votes) over The Murder Case of Hana & Alice.
The audience had a slightly different take on things, voting for The Murder Case of Hana & Alice as their favourite film in competition - both deserved winners in our opinion, with the audience for our live podcast from the Edinburgh Filmhouse also echoing the sentiment of the audience's vote.
Speaking of opinions, you can check out our thoughts on all of the major film premieres which made their way to the UK across the Glasgow and Edinburgh weekends of Scotland Loves Anime below:
Attack on Titan (Live-action)
Boruto: Naruto the Movie
Empire of Corpses
Expelled from Paradise
Ghost in the Shell (2015)
Love Live: The School Idol Movie
Miss Hokusai
The Murder Case of Hana and Alice
Psycho-Pass the Movie
For more on the Scotland Loves Anime judge's award, you can find a press release on the Scotland Loves Animation web site.
