Netflix UK streams Cyborg 009: Call of Justice

Opinions are pretty broadly split around the quality of the previous 3D CG outing in the Cyborg 009 franchise, 009 Re:Cyborg, but not to be cowed director Kenji Kamiyama (of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Eden of the East fame) returned to this storied world for a film split into three chapters which saw its Japanese theatrical release take place last year.

Now, Cyborg 009: Call of Justice has been reworked from its original three-film format into a twelve episode series, and that 3D CG series has in turn now arrived on Netflix UK in streaming form for English viewers.

Set years after its band of cyborgs have disbanded to take up normal lives, a new superhuman menace arrives in the form of the "Blessed", an organisation of psychics who press the gang into action to tackle their threat.

The series is now available in full, in Japanese with English subtitles - you can find it on this Netflix UK page.
