This news actually appeared during London Comic Con weekend, but we held it back to give it room to breathe amidst the slew of other information pouring out over recent days.
The news in questions pertains to Netflix, who have announced that they will be streaming the new theatrical 3D CG take on Leiji Matsumoto's classic, Space Pirate Captain Harlock.
Thus, Harlock: Space Pirate will be arriving to Netflix UK in streaming form from August 1st - this follows a cancelled attempt to screen the film at the BFI's recent Anime Weekend in London. The news also follows the recent acquisition of Knights of Sidonia by the online service, which will be arriving in the summer following its Japane broadcast.
Needless to say we'll be checking out the film once it arrives on the service, so watch this space for our thoughts once August rolls around!
